Cartoon Action Hour (or CAH as we like to abbreviate it) is a roleplaying
game dedicated to the action cartoons of the 1980s. From Transformers,
GI Joe, He-Man, and Thundarr to MASK, Bravestarr, Jayce and the
Wheeled Warriors, and a whole lot in between, Cartoon Action Hour
allows you to recreate your favorite cartoons and play in their
world. With Cartoon Action Hour's powerful yet flexible system you
can even create your own characters and shows in the vein of the
'80s action cartoons. From the pilot episode to the after-message
segment to the movie, you can run any type of '80s action cartoon.
The main book, at 192 pages, gives you all you need including rules
for creating vehicles, animal companions, handling goons, creating
merging robots, building spell clusters - anything you can think
of for your '80s action cartoon adventure. You'll also get a collection
of series seeds: information on various series that GMs and players
can flesh out for their own adventures.
Finally, you'll also get the Series Book, Iconia. This book details
the He-Man-like series, Warriors of the Cosmos, complete with information
on races, locations, and stats for the main heroes and villians.
You'll also get character templates, allowing you to create a character
in under 5 minutes. As a bonus, you'll also get an 11-episode guide
to the series of Warriors of the Cosmos so GMs have a jumping off
point for their group's adventures.
You can check out a sample of the game by downloading the demo
rules and short adventure on the right (Playset and Action Pack
1 respectively).
