About Shadi Torbey
Developing Onirim, Shadi Tordey wanted to fill a personal need: having a collection of solo tabletop games. He wanted the rules to be simple, to set up to be quick, and match to be short. Torbey also felt that a good game would allow players to make real game-changing decisions. In other words, the whole idea was to modernize the solitary game genre by getting rid of the simple randomness of the usual draws. A more versatile drawing mechanism would bring the players to think and elaborated different strategies. Torbey also realized that adding a cooperative mode could create even more tactical possibilities.
